    A plaque dedication ceremony sponsored by the 65th Honor Task Force, Inc. took place at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado 10-19-2002.During the rendering of Taps by a lone bugler, SFC Modesto Cartagena, one of the most highly decorated veterans of the 65th Infantry Regiment and combat veteran of both WWII and Korea laid a wreath honoring the Regiment and two of its Korean War commanders, BG WW Harris and LTC W. "Chick" Childs interred at Fort Logan.
   
Anthony Mele led The 65th Honor Task Force, Inc. in organizing plaque dedication ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, Sept. 20, 2000 and at El Morro fortress, San Juan, Puerto Rico, Oct. 18, 2000.  On Oct 19th, 2002, Mr. Mele led a delegation of Korean War and 65th Infantry veterans from around the country to Fort Logan National Cemetery to render honors to former commanders, BG W.W. Harris and LTC W. Childs in a wreath laying and plaque dedication ceremony there.  Among the guest of honor and guest were the families of SFC Modesto Cartagena, BG Harris, LTC Childs, Korean War veterans: Issac Rivera, Raphael Cordero, Ernesto Cordero, Luis Quinones, Tony Melendez, Eugenio Quevedo and Augustine Ramirez.
