AWARD OF THE BRONZE STAR MEDAL (FIRST BRONZE OAK-LEAF CLUSTER). - By direction of the President, under the provisions of Executive Order 9419, 4 February 1944 (Sec II, WD Bul 2, 1944), and pursuant to authority in AR 60045, the Bronze Star Medal (First Bronze Oak-Leaf Cluster) for meritorious service in connection with military operations against an enemy of the United States during the period indicated is awarded to the following named officers:

    LIEUTENANT COLONEL PAUL J. JARRETT, 0346140, Infantry, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 65th Infantry, 3d Infantry Division, United States Army, 17 July 1951 to 22 November 1951, in Korea. Entered the military service from the Territory of Hawaii.
