GENERAL ORDERS - NUMBER 145  16 May 1951

AWARD OF THE BRONZE STAR MEDAL  - By direction of the President, under the provisions of Executive Order 9419, 4 February 1944 (Sec II, WD Bul 3, 1944), and pursuant to authority in AR 600-45, the Bronze Star Medal with Letter "V" device for heroic achievement in connection with military operations against an enemy of the United States is awarded to the following named officers and enlisted men :

SERGEANT FIRST CLASS ANGEL ROSADO, RA6674746, Infantry, Company "C", 65th Infantry, 3d Infantry Division, United States Army. On 28 November 1950, in the vicinity of Chonang-dong, Korea, Sergeant ROSADO was accompanying the leading platoon when Company "C" suddenly found itself pinned down by hostile small arms fire from an enemy who was entrenched and concentrated on a high ridge. Locating several enemy positions from which automatic weapons fire was being directed, Sergeant ROSADO led his squad in a surprise attack on the enemy's right flank and on several occasions, with no regard for his own safety, voluntarily exposed himself to enemy fire, enabling the rest of the company to regroup and accomplish its mission. The attack led by Sergeant ROSADO accounted for eleven enemy dead as well as a considerable number of casualties. Sergeant ROSADO'S heroic actions reflect great credit upon himself and the military service. Entered the military service from Puerto Rico.
